Wellington Post # 2

Last week Rimu class went to Wellington for their 2015 camp. It was really exciting and very amazing that Rimu is able to travel on a train, boat and an aeroplane. Throughout this blog I will be taking you through our Rimu journey on our adventure to Wellington.

It all started on the 23rd of November. Rimu were about to hop on a train to Piction!

Finally after 5 hours of sitting around and talking to our friends it was time to get on a boat to ride the waves all the way to the capital. :)

Oh I felt sick( that is how everyone felt after 3 hours on a ferry!)

Now let's go and have some pizza and have a sleep at the YHA.

I felt like playing some games and maybe I should watch some news while I am at it.

Parris Goebel

Over the last two terms Rimu Class has been working on something called Genius Hour.

We all decided on a topic to present for the class. I have chosen Parris Goebel who is a dance sensation.

In this google slide I will be taking you through her journey of dance and how she became famous.

Whose Your Favourite Artist?

Over the last term Rimu Class has been working on painting our own canvas, so to give us some  inspiration we all chose a NZ artist . I chose Amanda Cass because I really enjoy looking at her paintings because her painting are never the same. Also Amanda Cass is a self taught painter and also a photographer.

I WANT THAT TOY!

"Come on holly it is time to leave the toy shop" commanded holly's mum. "But I want it so bad!why are you not a nice mum and just spend money on me like Rico's mum" barked holly! Do you see what I mean? Holly is just a cry baby! And when she sees something that she really really wants she will cry and cry and cry and cry. She just wouldn't stop crying until you give it to her. And that is why I never ever want to go to the shop with her ever again!!

My Long Jump!

My class has been videoing our long jump. Before we put up our video we had to analyse an expert at long jump. Here is my long jump in slow motion.

Tip 1: Make sure that I jump on the same place every time on the mat.
Tip 2: Try and get a good run up before I start sprinting.
Tip 3: Go from horizontal to vertical in the flight.
Tip 3: I am going to work on my flight and this is especially throwing my hips and arms forward to get more air time. This will hopefully improve my jump.

100WC + Icky Sticky Bubble Gum

For this week's 1000wc I had to write about  a prompt the prompt was   ..It Felt Like..

There was a factory that made bubble gum. The factory was called Icky Sticky Bubble Gum. There was also a song that went along with the company. " Icky sticky bubble gum bubble gum bubble gum icky sticky bubble gum and pop like this". Ok so now that you know that their product has a catchy tune to it, you now need to know that, when you bite into the bubble gum you get a  bad feeling! It feels like a snail traveling across  your feet.. I know it may seem crazy; but it is really funny to see people's  reactions .
